Plane Talking Products (PTP) is one of the first companies to sign a pledge of support to the Aviation Sustainability Forum (ASF). Offering both financial and manpower support, Plane Talking is committed to working hand in hand with the industry to drive the sustainable agenda forward.

Alison Wells, co founder and director at PTP, has joined one of the ASF’s working groups as Head of the Marketing and Communications group.

Alison said ‘As a product supplier we really see the value in the ASF – in the past we may not have been party to what happens to our new products after we’ve delivered them– but now we are asking that question and wanting to help with the answer.

I reconnected with long term friend and colleague Mike Pooley (ex Gate Group now an independent consultant) during the pandemic and he told me about the ASF. I could see the benefits straight away and signed PTP up. The ASF were, and still are, looking for volunteers to populate their working groups. I wanted to get involved and help shape the ASF for the future so I offered my support in marketing and comms to help spread the word about the vison and values of the ASF. Now, more than ever, I see that only by working together can we make a difference as an industry. ‘

Established in October 2019, The Aviation Sustainability Forum (ASF) is a ‘not for profits’ collaborative partnership of competing stakeholders from across the aviation sector who have joined forces to build a more sustainable future for onboard service. Through research projects, collaborations and partnerships the ASF will drive change in onboard products and services to help our sector meet Netzero targets. We hope that our work will inform and influence both inflight service and waste management processes in the future. A recent research paper is available now on our website.

We are seeking like minded partners to join us on this journey. If you want to help us drive sustainable change whilst also benefitting from the research, access to exclusive sustainability tools and data , networking opportunities and cost saving initiatives – come and join us. The ASF is run by its membership for the benefit of its membership.
