We are delighted to announce that our Director and Founder, John Caulcutt, has been appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in His Majesty’s New Year’s Honours List.
John’s CBE is in recognition of his services to charity and philanthropy. Over many years John has raised millions for various charities through his music but also through his travels and extensive international contacts – many of whom he had the pleasure to meet through his long service in the aviation industry.
John said ‘I am absolutely humbled by the nomination because it is not all just about me. I am always part of a bigger team and would always want to remember all those people who worked with me on all the projects around the world to make it possible”
These projects include raising over £1 million in March 2020 for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, working with Shelter Box to provide temporary housing in India after the 2004 tsunami, aid flights into Haiti after the earthquake and Iraq during the war. More recently with the support of Plane Talking and our customers, John organised three van loads of donations to be delivered to Ukrainian refugees.
We at Plane Talking are very proud and pleased that John’s efforts are being recognised in this way and would like to thank everyone that has supported John in his charitable work.
